About inciative
Izraz Workshops can be categorized as creative, artistic, and amateur activities; however, while they encompass all of these aspects, they are primarily based on collaborative creation and individual reflection. Through the lens of knowledge and skill transfer, and by using a variety of techniques, we explore different artistic practices.
Creating a space where there is an opportunity for casual networking among creative people of diverse profiles is imperative. Izraz is community-based, bringing together people of different ages, backgrounds, and interests, providing them with a safe space for independent expression with mentorship support.
Through this type of work, participants’ ability for visual communication becomes more authentic and closer—to themselves and to others. We achieve this in part by introducing participants to different media, materials, and creation techniques, as well as the elements, principles, and content of various media, and by exploring the role, development, and diversity of visual arts. Self-affirmation through creative work is the primary goal of the Izraz workshops.
The workshops are held once a week and are led by experienced practitioners in fine arts and graphic design. While their thematic focus varies, the overarching goal remains consistent: a tangible result created by hand, inspired by each participant’s own desire for creative expression.
