Evening Life Drawing
About
Evening Life Drawing is the practice of drawing the nude human figure during evening hours under artificial lighting. Unlike a traditional life drawing study, which aims at faithfully reproducing what is seen, evening life drawing emphasizes individual expression, the immediate feeling, and the power of improvisation in the moment.
Adapting to various media available to the artists (charcoal, pencil, pen, brush, markers) and using papers of arbitrary, but smaller, formats allows for in-depth exploration of drawing preferences and contributes to the understanding of each participant’s creative personality.
This traditional drawing program has been conducted in the spaces of Art Klinika, and later Šok ZaDruga, accompanying all their non-traditional events since 2001, and has become an integral part of the work and practice of these organizations.
